The Student Employability Hub is a facility provided by the University’s Career and Employability Service, and is specifically designed to help students and graduates stand out from the crowd.
Graduate jobs are competitive, with approximately 70 applications submitted for every graduate job. The Employability Hub is striving to support students and graduates in achieving their dream career, by producing quality applications and CVs, interview tips, work experience, and job vacancy information.
The Hub is located in the Gateway Building, near the reception. You can come along at any time between 9am-5pm on weekdays for more information on our careers service.
We offer a range of services for students and graduates, aimed to improve your chances at your dream career. Whether it’s an appointment with a careers advisor, or a drop in careers express chat, we have a variety of services just for you.
The Hub has a number of drop-in sessions, such as Careers Express and International Study. Advice on Work Experience, SALA or Job Vacancy information is also available, and you even sign up to Hope Works, a part-time job service for students who want to find a job on campus.
This is a “drop-in” service, for any queries you might have for a professional careers advisor. During Careers Express, you can expect to speak to an administrator for 10-15 minutes, and is your opportunity to access quick accurate information on a personal level. You can get advice on work experience, and ways to get a foot in the door of your ideal career. You can also have your CV or cover letter looked at, as well as application forms and interview help.

Need a thorough discussion with a careers advisor? This is an option if you want to discuss your career options. It is ideal for discussing what you want to do with your degree, and what you need to do to achieve your goals.
This is a service offered on Monday afternoons between 2pm-4pm. It is designed for students who need one-to-one advice on international exchange. This is a great opportunity to talk through the whole process, and to get a real idea how to begin your application to study abroad.
Hope Works supplies jobs for students on campus, either at Hope Park or the Creative Campus. A wide range of jobs are available for students, and provides great paid employment opportunities, valuable for jobs and careers in the future.
