Books or journal articles which are unavailable in the library can be requested from The British Library on Inter-Library Loan.
The following annual limits apply:
Book and journal article request forms are available at the Library Help Point or can be printed via the links below.
There is a £2.00 handling charge per request within your limit, after which requests will be charged at £10.00.
There is no charge for academic staff up to the 30 request limit. PHD and EdD students are entitled to 5 requests without charge per academic year. NB this can also include renewals up to the indicated limit.
Requests for journal articles must have the copyright declaration signed, failure to do so will result in the form being returned and a delay in the request being processed. It is possible to have these delivered to your home address by indicating this on the request form.
Forms can be submitted in person to the Library Help Point during full service hours. Alternatively, forms with the appropriate fee (cheques made payable to Liverpool Hope University) can be returned by post to:
The Sheppard-Worlock Library
Liverpool Hope University
It may be possible to renew an inter-library loan provided it is not required by another institution. Please submit an ILL renewal form with a £4.00 fee at least 5 days before the due date given inside the book. If it is not possible to renew you will be contacted, and will need to return the item by the original due date and the renewal fee will be refunded. As inter-library loans are generously subsidised, we regret we are unable to return and re-order the same item due to the high administrative costs.
