International Fees & Payments 2015/16

You must budget carefully to support yourself during your studies in the UK. Education is a huge financial commitment and it is important you understand the tuition fees, costs and payment methods, although for international students, Liverpool Hope University remains one of the most affordable universities in England.


Scholarships for International Students

Liverpool Hope University is committed to encouraging applications from International students with high academic qualifications who will benefit from studying in the UK by offering a generous range of International Scholarships. Scholarships are awarded based on merit and can reduce your tuition fees by varying amounts.


Tuition Fees 2015/16

Liverpool Hope University now offers special package prices for both International Undergraduate and Post Graduate Programmes,  please see below for further details.



International Students Undergraduate Tuition Fees 2015/16: £10,800 per year.

Liverpool Hope University also offers a special package price of £13,600, which includes:

  • Tuition Fee's
  • Accommodation
  • £900 Food Vouchers to be used at Food Outlets at Liverpool Hope University.

Students are also entitled to a further £500 off accommodation fees if they are from a recognised US partnership school, making the total package price £13,100.

Please Note: The deposit payment required for students choosing packages will be £4,000 not the normal £3,000 as other students will be asked to pay.

There is an early payment discount available for the above package price programmes (see below).

Early Payment Discount

If you pay your tuition fees before the stated dates, you will receive an early payment discount. This gives you a substantial discount from your fees.

For September 2015 intake

  • £1,000 discount if you pay your full tuition fees before 1st September 2015

Valid for students on full Bachelors or Masters programmes only but not for packages and former Liverpool Hope University students.


Living costs

Living costs, sometimes called maintenance, include accommodation, food, clothing, entertainment and travel in the UK. Liverpool Hope estimate the cost of living to be £7,380 per academic year.

Payment Methods

International Students must pay a tuition fee deposit, and then pay the fees in full or by dates specified in the payment plan. Payment information is included in the offer of admission.


Deferring Your Entry – Postgraduate Applications Only

If you are unable to start your course by the specified start date it may be possible to defer your application for entry to the next intake. You must send a request to defer your application to the International Admissions team by email to as soon as possible. Please include your full name, date of birth, the course you applied for, University reference number and the reason you wish to defer your application. Please include ‘Request to Defer’ in the subject heading. Entry can only be deferred within one academic year and is subject to approval. Please note if you defer then you will be charged the subsequent fee rate for the academic year that you defer to, rather than the academic year for which you originally applied.
