Service and Leadership Training Schedule

You should then attend a minimum of three hours from the Skills Workshops, choosing those which interest you, are relevant to your degree course or to your volunteering. Further opportunities will follow in the New Year.  Finally attendance at ONE of the Professional Practice sessions is also compulsory.
You should register your attendance for these events via the Online Store. 

If you cannot find a workshop which interests you or is compatible with your interests, please email sala@hope.ac.uk with your ideas for a session and we will try to arrange something. Also, if you have skills in a particular area and would like to organise or deliver a session, please contact us about this.

The Many Aspects of Sustainability                                                                                 Jason Ward from the Liverpool World Centre will deliver an interactive, exciting and informative session in which participants can either work in groups or on their own to understand and consider aspects of sustainability.   This will include an activity on carbon emissions,  a short  talk on ethical consumerism (linking to slavery info and Fairtrade as a solution) and will conclude with "if the world was a village".

Jason Ward from LWC.  Liverpool World Centre (LWC) exists to make world issues relevant to the lives of young people.   LWC uses topics such as Fairtrade, climate change, and citizenship to explore the relationships of young people with each other and those in the wider world.  Such topics have been pulled together within the term “Global Learning”, and LWC has developed expertise and resources in this area.
