Please read this section if you are due to join Liverpool Hope in January2017 and would like information about planning your arrival and what to expect when you arrive.

Planning Your Arrival - Accommodation

We recommend that you book accommodation before moving to the UK - to book a room in Halls, please go to the online Accommodation Application.

You should make an application, even if accommodation is included in your International Fee Package, so that the accommodation Office can make you a room offer. For further information visit our ‌Accommodation pages here.

If you wish to book private accommodation, we would advise you to search with our partner agency Liverpool Student Homes. The main student area is Smithdown/Wavertree L15.

 

Planning Your Arrival - Airport Collection (new students travelling without family only)

The Airport Collection service is available on THURSDAY 5 JANUARY 2017 only. On all other dates, you must make your own way to the University. 

To make a booking please complete the Airport Collection Request Jan 2017. For all students except Study Abroad and Exchange from USA, Philippines and Mexico, there is a £15 charge - details of how to pay will be sent after we receive your application.

Moving into Halls of Residence

If you have booked a room in Halls of Residence on campus, please arrive on THURSDAY 5 JANUARY 2017 if possible. Please go straight to the campus where your accommodation is located - for most of you this will be the Aigburth Park Student Village. The address is:

If you are unable to arrive on 6 January, you can move in later - please go to the campus where your room is located and ask a member of the Security/Reception Team for your key.  You should have proof of ID and a copy of your room offer with you.  It is advisable to keep the International Unit informed by emailing internationalsupport@hope.ac.uk.

Please note that you can not move into Halls of Residence before 5 January 2017.

 

Moving into Private Accommodation

If you have booked private accommodation, you can move in when the keys are available - please check with your landlord.  You should go to the Hope Park campus at 9.15am on Friday 6 January for the Orientation Programme January 2017  Please feel free to join us for any events at Aigburth Park on 7 or 8 January 2017.

 

Orientation Day 6 January 2017

The International Hub at Liverpool Hope invite all new international students to join them for Orientation Day on Friday 6 January (Orientation Programme January 2017

On Saturday 7 January there will be a trip to Liverpool City centre by public transport -meet in the Trinity Room at Aigburth Park at 10.30am.  

Teaching will start from Monday 9 January 2017 for most students.  Students with a later start of teaching date will be given a project task to complete.

For further information you may like to look at the UK website for the UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA) is the UK's national advisory body serving the interests of International Students and those who work with them. UKCISA has useful advice for International Students preparing to begin their studies in the UK. Visit the UKCISA website for more information.

The British Council have also published a booklet called Creating Confidence that contains lots of important information for students planning on studying in the UK. Students are advised to print off a copy and read the information prior to leaving their home country.
