Sconul Access

The Sconul Access scheme allows staff and students from other academic institutions, that are part of the scheme, to have access to Liverpool Hope’s Libraries.  For more information on the scheme visit the Sconul Access website. 

Part-time, distance learners, taught postgraduates, PGCE, academic staff and research postgraduate students

Visitor membership is offered to these categories which will allow you to borrow up to three items at any one time.

On your first visit, which should be during full service hours, you will need to bring:

  • your Sconul Access acceptance email (obtained from the Library of your home institution when you applied online)
  • your home institution student card
  • passport sized photograph

Your Sconul application will take 24 hours to be processed (not including weekends).

Due to licensing restrictions we are unable to give access to IT facilities. 

Full time undergraduate students

NB:  Reference rights only (you will not be able to borrow materials or use IT facilities).

On your first visit, which should be during full service hours, you will need to bring:

  • your Sconul Access acceptance email (obtained from the Library of your home institution when you applied online)
  • your home institution student card
  • passport sized photograph

Your Sconul application will take 24 hours to be processed (not including weekends).

Once you have been given a reference card (which you must bring with you on every visit) you will be required to sign in when you arrive and to sign out when you leave.
